The Visionary Publisher and Author Who
Redefines Kerala’s Literary Landscape

Paima Pradeep is a multifaceted figure in Kerala’s creative scene, recognized as a writer, blogger, graphic designer, web designer, and publisher. His journey, spanning two decades in the publication sector, is marked by extraordinary innovation and an unwavering commitment to recognizing talent.
From Proofreader to Pioneer Publisher
Pradeep’s professional life began informally during his tenth-grade vacation, where he took up proofreading work at a local press. This initial exposure to publishing laid the foundation for his future endeavors. After college, he pursued a diploma in Animation and worked as a designer in a studio. The turning point in his career arrived serendipitously with the launch of his own publishing house, Manjari Books.
Under his leadership, Manjari Books quickly established itself by executing projects of monumental scale and novelty.

Kerala Book of Records: Launched in 2021 and inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister, Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, this initiative aims to identify and document outstanding talents across Kerala. The Records organization has conducted programs in 117 venues.
Malayala Sahitya Academy (Malayalam Literature Academy): Pradeep also established this organization to serve as a structured platform and community for writers.
Paima: The Author
As a writer, Pradeep uses the pen name Paima, a shortened form of Paimattom, the village in the Ernakulam district where he was born. Under this pseudonym, he has authored 48 books across various genres, including short stories, poetry, novels, and plays.
Paima Pradeep’s combined roles as a prolific author and a transformative publisher have cemented his status as a key architect in the contemporary Malayalam literary landscape.
